The untitled self

The Untitled Self (2018) was exhibited at The Corner Campbell Grey Gallery, Amman, and Al Qasr Exhibition the same year. Using discarded fragments of paint layered on glass, mirrors, and palettes, the work explores the fragmented nature of identity and self-perception. Each paint fragment—once detached, overlooked, or unwanted—comes together to form an unintentional composition, reflecting how humans, too, are collections of experiences, memories, and influences assembled without deliberate design. The title, Untitled Self, points to the paradox of being whole yet undefined, complete yet unresolved—an introspective meditation on the beauty of imperfection and the fluid, evolving nature of identity.
